TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: October 27, 2026

1. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of pasqualinolaw.ca (the "Website") and of the online booking link, contact forms and secure texting line offered by Pasqualino Law Professional Corporation ("Pasqualino Law", "we", "us" or "our"). By using the Website or these services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or these services.

2. NO LEGAL ADVICE

The content of the Website is general information about criminal law and our services. It is not legal advice and should not be relied on as legal advice. Criminal law is complex and every case depends on its own facts. The law may also have changed since the content was written. Do not act, or decide not to act, based on anything on the Website without first getting advice from a lawyer about your own situation.

3. NO LAWYER-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP

Using the Website, submitting a form, booking a consultation, sending a text or email, or speaking with us during a free consultation does not create a lawyer-client relationship. That relationship exists only after:

  (a) we have completed a conflict-of-interest check;

  (b) we have confirmed that we are able and willing to act for you; and

  (c) you and Pasqualino Law have signed a written retainer agreement or engagement letter.

Until then, we are not responsible for protecting your interests or for any deadlines in your matter, including court dates, bail hearings and limitation periods.

4. INFORMATION YOU SEND US

Please do not send confidential or detailed information about your matter, such as a full account of the facts, statements, documents or evidence, through the Website forms, the booking link or the texting line until we have confirmed in writing that we can act for you. We may be unable to treat information sent before that confirmation as confidential if, for example, it turns out we already represent another person involved in the matter. Sending us information does not stop us from representing someone else in the same or a related matter.

You agree that the information you give us is accurate, and that you have the right to share any information you send about other people.

5. FREE CONSULTATIONS AND ONLINE BOOKING

  - Our online booking link is provided by a third-party scheduling service, Clio Grow (pasqualinolawpc.cliogrow.com). When you use it, Clio's own terms and privacy policy also apply.

  - A booking is a request for a consultation. It is not confirmed until we accept it, and it does not create a lawyer-client relationship. We may need to reschedule or cancel a booking, for example because of a conflict of interest or court commitments.

  - Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

  - The free consultation is a short preliminary discussion of your situation. Any further work requires a written retainer.

6. SECURE TEXTING LINE

  - By texting our line, or by giving us your mobile number and asking to be contacted by text, you consent to receiving text messages from Pasqualino Law about your enquiry or matter. These include appointment confirmations, reminders and replies to your questions.

  - We will not send you promotional or marketing texts without your separate, express consent.

  - Message frequency varies. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

  - Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also contact us at (289) 878-2740 or admin@pasqualinolaw.ca.

  - The texting line is not monitored around the clock. We do not guarantee how quickly we will reply, and we are not responsible for messages that are delayed or not delivered by mobile carriers.

  - Do not use the texting line for emergencies. If you are in danger, call 911. If you have been arrested, tell the police that you want to speak to a lawyer, and call our office at (289) 878-2740.

  - Text messages pass through your mobile carrier's network and stay on your device. You are responsible for the security of your own phone and for deciding what to send. Our Privacy Policy has more information about how we handle text messages.

7. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

  - use the Website or our services for any unlawful purpose;

  - submit false, misleading or impersonating information;

  - send spam, abusive or threatening messages, or harmful code;

  - try to gain unauthorized access to the Website, its servers or any connected system; or

  - scrape, copy or reproduce the content of the Website for commercial purposes without our written permission.

We may block or ignore communications that break these Terms.

8. RESULTS AND TESTIMONIALS

Any description on the Website of past cases, outcomes or testimonials concerns those particular matters only. It does not guarantee or predict the outcome of any other matter. Every case is decided on its own facts and law.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos and design, belongs to Pasqualino Law or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use requires our prior written permission.

10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

The Website may link to, or rely on, third-party websites and services, such as maps, booking and messaging platforms. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Your use of them is at your own risk and is subject to their own terms.

11. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Website and our online services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, reliability or availability of the Website or its content. We also do not guarantee that it will be free of errors, interruptions, viruses or other harmful components.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent the law allows, Pasqualino Law and its lawyers, employees and agents are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss or damage arising from:

  - your use of, or inability to use, the Website, forms, booking link or texting line;

  - your reliance on any content on the Website; or

  - any communication that is delayed, lost, intercepted or not delivered.

Nothing in these Terms limits our professional obligations to clients under a signed retainer, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify Pasqualino Law against any claims, losses or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Website or our services.

14. PROFESSIONAL REGULATION

Carlo Pasqualino is licensed to practise law in Ontario and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario. The Website is intended for people seeking information about legal services in Ontario. It is not an offer to provide legal services in any jurisdiction where we are not authorized to practise.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. You agree that the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Website.

16. GENERAL

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remains in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Pasqualino Law about your use of the Website and our online services. If you become a client, your signed retainer agreement governs our legal services to you and prevails over these Terms if the two conflict.

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If you continue to use the Website after changes are posted, you accept the revised Terms.
